Chicken, Leek & Ham Hock Pie

Product Overview

Delicious chunks of chicken breast, shredded ham hock & leeks in a tarragon & white wine sauce encased in rich butter short crust pastry, served with a rich chicken jus.

Please note this dish is from our 'Frozen Range'. It will arrive with you frozen, for you to defrost thoroughly before cooking, or to pop straight into your own freezer to defrost and enjoy at a later date. If you would like it defrosted before collection/delivery, please make a note in the checkout page.  

Chicken breast, ham hock, onion, leeks, CELERY, carrot, tarragon, white wine, salt, pepper, butter (MILK), ham stock (water, salt, pepper, ham juices), cream (MILK), cornflour. Pastry – lard, butter (MILK), flour (GLUTEN), salt, EGG yolk glaze (allergens highlighted).

For Individual Pies For 1: Defrost thoroughly before use. From chilled - Preheat oven to 190 deg C (fan assisted), remove film lid and remove pie from container - place pie (in the foil) onto a baking sheet (pie is already glazed with egg for your convenience), bake for approx. 20-25 minutes until pastry is nicely coloured, rest for 5 minutes then carefully remove from foil to serve – taking care as contents will be very hot.  

For the jus – remove lid and replace loosely back on top of container and microwave for 1-2 minutes until piping hot or for conventional hob – pour contents into a small pan and heat over a medium heat until hot.

For Large Pies For 4: Defrost thoroughly before use.  From chilled - Preheat oven to 190 deg C (fan assisted), remove lid and place pie (in the foil) onto a baking sheet (pie is already glazed with egg for your convenience), bake for 30-35 minutes until pastry has nicely coloured, rest for 5 minutes then carefully remove from foil, and using a sharp knife portion then serve – taking care as contents will be very hot.  

For the jus – remove lid and replace loosely back on top of container and microwave for 1-2 minutes until piping hot or for conventional hob – pour contents into a small pan and heat over a medium heat until hot.

Store in freezer at -18 deg C or below, use within one month, defrost thoroughly before use and follow cooking instructions.
